Standard Presumptive Value (SPV) Appraisal
When registering a vehicle you are required to pay sales tax on what the vehicle is worth. Many times the DMV will attempt to charge the full amount possible even though the vehicle may not be worth the full retail value. This is where we come in, one of our Licensed Insurance Adjusters will come out and in about 10-15 minutes complete the appraisal on the vehicle for what it is actually worth so you are not required to pay any excess, unreasonable tax for the vehicle.
Umpire Valuation Service
Every so often an agreement between the vehicle owner's Independent Appraiser and the insurance company's Independent Appraiser cannot be reached for the value of a total loss vehicle. In this instance according to Texas Insurance Law the two parties must hire an independent, unbiased Umpire who represents, and is paid equally for by both the vehicle owner, and the insurance company. The Umpire is hired render an ultimate, binding value decision for the vehicle based on both independent research and the two completed reports from both the insurance company's appraiser and the vehicle owner's independent appraiser.
